First Visit to Pediatrician

I went to visit the pediatrician for the first time today. I found out that I weighed 6 lbs 5.4 oz and measured 20.5 inches long! Mom and Dad really want me to grow so Mom feeds me as much as I want so I can grow up big and strong. Mom thinks it's funny when Dad talks about the time "when Leon was little." :)

Dr. Evans poked and prodded me a lot. I'm not sure I liked it very much but at least it was over quickly. My umbilical cord stump fell off this morning and the doctor said the granuloma that was left looked perfectly normal.

She also said that I only see in black and white and won't see color until I'm 4 months old. I don't know what color is, but it sounds exciting. I can't wait until I can see it.

After visiting the doctor, I went on my first trip to Safeway and Trader Joes. Mom and Dad had to buy groceries. They told me that I would find out about something called solid foods later.
